Learning the Wisdom of the Body 


For me, embodiment is when we are in full contact with what is happening in our physical body. When we learn to listen and understand what our body is experiencing and know that it is intimately connected with our emotions and our thoughts. Once we notice how our mind, emotions and body interact and affect one another, we can develop a new relationship with our body and use that relationship to shift and change the patterns that are causing us challenges in our lives. 


This sounds straightforward, but it is often the most difficult aspect of unravelling old patterns. Feelings such as fear, sadness, loneliness, anger, depression and boredom, and even sexual desire, joy and excitement, can create uncomfortable sensations in our body. Outside of our awareness, we create ways of disconnecting from uncomfortable physical sensations. If these patterns occur over a sustained period of time, they contribute to physical symptoms, pain, discomfort, stress, overwhelm and fatigue 


I will guide you to gently reconnect with your body and physical experiences. Through awareness, understanding and embodiment practices you will become more comfortable with difficult sensations, feelings and experiences.  You will learn that your body is a guide, something to listen to, rather than ignore and that it will help you to navigate the situations you are currently facing if you are willing to listen.


Working with embodied practice can help unravel difficult physical symptoms, such as digestive issues, headaches and reoccurring symptoms. We can use the symptoms you experience in your body to recognise patterns that can be brought into awareness and changed. Often, through working with your body experience, we can unlock hidden patterns and identify where they connect with thoughts and emotions that are outside of conscious awareness. 


Our body is an essential part of our system. It isn't enough to work with our thoughts and emotions, we need to understand and unravel the physical aspects of our patterns. Reconnect with our body and learn it’s language and wisdom
