Guiding you to find your own way of living well.
When I work with people, I apply the principles of guidance. I create an environment that encourages curiosity. I listen deeply to your experience and support you to bring awareness to the unconscious patterns in your life. I help you to develop compassion for yourself and a deeper understanding of your experience. Most importantly, I encourage you to listen to your own internal guidance and wisdom. When you listen to yourself, you find new ways to live well and reconnect with people and the world around you.
I use a combination of ancient and modern wisdom, psychotherapeutic theory, neuroscience, contemplative, meditative and embodiment practices, accompanied by deep listening and reflection. We create an environment that allows new perspectives to grow and encourages creativity in finding new ways of living in the world.
A lot of the stress in our lives, is created by repeating patterns that we unconsciously use to navigate the challenges we face. We have evolved to use past experiences to ensure we can respond quickly when we experience threat or stress, using patterns of behaving, thinking and feeling and body responses that have helped us in previous situations.
In our sessions, we will work with these patterns. Moving between developing understanding and awareness and contemplative, meditative and embodied practice. We will work with situations you are currently experiencing to identify patterns and work to unravel them in the mind, emotions and the body. Allowing you to create new patterns and ways to be in the world.
Rather than unconsciously responding to events in your life, or trying to find external solutions, gradually you develop your own internal support system. This allows you to consider new perspectives, develop different ways of thinking, responding to your emotions and a more comfortable connection with your body. It helps you to develop the art of living well.
'We have all a better guide in ourselves , if we would attend to it, than any other person can be.'
