Understanding the unique landscape of your emotional experience.
In the sessions, we will develop emotional awareness and make sense of how your emotions shape your thoughts, behaviours and bodily sensations and responses.
Our emotions are an integral part of our experience and are intrinsically connected with our mind and body. Through guidance and contemplation we will develop your understanding of your patterns of thinking. Through embodied practice we will reconnect you with your physical experiences, deeply listening to your body to identify patterns and learn ways of regulating uncomfortable body sensations and experiences.
Alongside this, we will also develop your knowledge and understanding of the intricate landscape of your emotions. The sessions will allow you to become aware of how the mind, emotions and the body connect, relate and impact one another and as your understanding grows you will be able to find new and creative ways of navigating your emotional experience of life.
I have been inspired by the work of Brené Brown who has undertaken significant research on emotions, their subtlety, complexity and importance in human experience. Understanding emotions can transform our experience of them. Shifting them from an uncomfortable experience that is best avoided to a road map that helps us understand our life and find new and creative ways to respond to the natural challenges we face.
